Gentari EV Charger Overstay Fees: What You Need to Know

Gentari has introduced overstay fees at select EV charging stations to encourage timely vehicle removal and ensure charger availability. These fees are applied once the charging session exceeds the designated time limit, regardless of whether charging is complete. At AC chargers, an overstay fee of RM1.00 per minute is charged after 4 hours, while at DC chargers, the fee is RM1.50 per minute after 1 hour. It’s important to note that these overstay fees are separate from idle fees, which are imposed after charging is completed and the vehicle remains plugged in. To avoid unexpected charges, EV owners should monitor their charging time and promptly move their vehicle once charging is finished.
