KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasized inclusivity and sustainability as key pillars for Malaysia and Asean’s resurgence, advocating for shared prosperity that leaves no one behind.

Under Malaysia’s Asean chairmanship, Anwar reaffirmed the bloc’s commitment to the Asean centrality principle, allowing free cooperation with major global powers such as the US, China, and Europe without being entangled in external conflicts.

Reflecting on his recent missions to the UAE, UK, Belgium, and Switzerland, Anwar highlighted strengthening bilateral ties, attracting investments, and advancing trade as core achievements.

He also praised the focus on economic growth, knowledge, and artificial intelligence observed during these visits, urging Malaysians to emulate these priorities instead of dwelling on divisive issues.

“This collaborative and forward-thinking attitude must guide our region as we work towards a peaceful and prosperous Asean,” he said in a Facebook post.
