Sebelum ini, Iran memiliki 408.6 kilogram uranium sehingga 60%, cukup untuk sembilan bom nuklear jika dimurnikan. Lokasi simpanan kini tidak diketahui dan menimbulkan kebimbangan antarabangsa. Grossi menegaskan perlunya akses semula ke tapak nuklear, tetapi Iran enggan bekerjasama dan menolak permintaan lawatan. Presiden Trump mendakwa uranium belum sempat dipindahkan, namun IAEA belum mengesahkannya.
