Dalam pendekatan baharu, pegawai menggunakan ais kering dan air sejuk bagi mengurangkan kesan berbahaya zarah halus (PM2.5) yang telah lama menjejaskan bandar tersebut.<\/p><p><strong>Eksperimen<\/strong><\/p><p>Strategi percubaan ini melibatkan semburan air sejuk dan penggunaan ais kering untuk menyejukkan udara serta mengurangkan kepekatan bahan pencemar. Pihak berkuasa percaya proses ini dapat membantu mendapkan zarah di udara, sekali gus menghalangnya daripada terus berlegar di atmosfera dan disedut oleh penduduk.<\/p><p>Inisiatif ini sedang diuji di kawasan berisiko tinggi pencemaran di sekitar ibu kota, khususnya di lokasi dengan trafik padat dan aktiviti perindustrian. Gabenor Bangkok, Chadchart Sittipunt, menyatakan bahawa eksperimen ini masih di peringkat percubaan, namun menegaskan komitmen bandar itu untuk meneroka semua penyelesaian yang mungkin bagi melindungi kesihatan awam.<\/p><p><strong>Krisis Berterusan<\/strong><\/p><p>Bangkok telah lama berdepan pencemaran udara yang serius, dengan tahap PM2.5 sering melebihi had selamat yang disyorkan oleh Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Namun, sifat masalah yang berulang mendorong mereka mempertimbangkan kaedah luar kebiasaan seperti eksperimen ais kering dan air sejuk ini.<\/p><p><strong>Reaksi Bercampur<\/strong><\/p><p>Walaupun inisiatif ini menarik perhatian kerana kreativiti, pakar dan kumpulan alam sekitar menyuarakan optimisme berhati-hati. Sesetengah saintis mempersoalkan keberkesanan jangka panjang pendekatan ini, dengan menyatakan ia mungkin hanya memberi kelegaan sementara tanpa menangani punca utama pencemaran seperti pelepasan industri, aktiviti pembinaan dan trafik kenderaan.<\/p><p>Namun begitu, penduduk Bangkok yang sudah penat memakai pelitup muka dan berdepan jerebu berharap akan ada perubahan. \u201cAdalah menyegarkan melihat penyelesaian inovatif diuji. Kami cuma berharap ia membawa perubahan sebenar,\u201d kata seorang penduduk tempatan.<\/p><p><strong>Perancangan Masa Depan<\/strong><\/p><p>Ketika eksperimen diteruskan, pihak berkuasa Thailand merancang untuk memantau data kualiti udara dengan teliti bagi menilai kesannya. Kejayaan inisiatif ini berpotensi membuka jalan kepada inovasi lanjut dalam menangani pencemaran udara, bukan sahaja di Thailand tetapi juga di bandar lain yang menghadapi cabaran serupa.<\/p><p>Gabenor Chadchart menegaskan bahawa walaupun langkah ini bersifat eksperimen, ia mencerminkan kesediaan Bangkok untuk berfikir di luar kebiasaan dalam menangani salah satu isu paling mendesak. \u201cKita mesti berani dan inovatif dalam memerangi pencemaran udara. Kesihatan dan kesejahteraan rakyat bergantung kepadanya.\u201d<\/p><p>Sementara bandar ini menantikan hasilnya, eksperimen ini menjadi peringatan bahawa menangani cabaran alam sekitar memerlukan pendekatan tradisional dan kreatif.
