PETALING JAYA (20 JAN 2025) Visitors to Penang Hill during Chinese New Year can enjoy a free shuttle service between Penang Hill and Komtar, announced the Penang Hill Corporation (PHC).
Running from Jan 29 to Feb 2, the service aims to reduce traffic congestion and enhance visitor convenience. Operating from 9am to 9pm, the shuttle offers eight round trips daily, departing every 90 minutes.
The shuttle is wheelchair accessible and marked with “Penang Hill Free Shuttle” for easy identification. Distinct visuals at pick-up and drop-off points will further assist commuters.
Passengers can board at Komtar’s Station 9 bus stop on Jalan Ria, heading to the Penang Hill Lower Station and back.
For those unable to board the free service, PHC recommends the regular Rapid Penang Route No 204, which runs every 35-45 minutes and connects Weld Quay, Komtar, and Penang Hill at standard fares.
Details are available on PHC’s website and social media.
