KUCHING: The Supreme Council of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) has endorsed a no-contest motion for its top five positions during the upcoming general assembly from February 14 to 16.
PBB secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced that the uncontested positions include the party president, deputy presidents, and two senior vice presidents. The current president, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also the Premier of Sarawak, will continue to lead.
Nomination forms for seven vice presidents and 30 Supreme Council members will be distributed soon, with nominations closing one week before the assembly.
For the first time, the assembly will include members from the party’s Youth wing, aged 18 to 28. Over 3,200 delegates and observers are expected to attend the event, which will be officiated by Abang Johari. The move reinforces PBB’s unity and vision for Sarawak’s future.
