PM Anwar Ibrahim Attends World Economic Forum 2025 to Drive Global Collaboration

DAVOS, Switzerland (21 JAN) Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Davos on Monday for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Summit 2025, a prestigious gathering of global leaders to address pressing global and regional challenges through enhanced cooperation.

Anwar, is accompanied by Malaysian ministers, including Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz and Gobind Singh Deo. The forum, held from Jan 20-24, has drawn over 3,000 participants, including 60 heads of state.

During the summit, Anwar will engage with leaders of multinational companies such as AstraZeneca, Google, and Nestle, and participate in a “Country Strategy Dialogue” to showcase Malaysia’s economic initiatives and trade opportunities.

Highlighting digital transformation, Anwar will focus on the Asean Digital Economy Framework and Malaysia’s role in fostering inclusive growth. He is also set to deliver a keynote at the Asean Plenary session, emphasizing Malaysia’s leadership as Asean Chair 2025.

This visit underscores Malaysia’s commitment to shaping a resilient and collaborative global economic landscape.
