PM Anwar Inaugurates Malaysia Auditorium at LSE, Delivers Lecture on Global Strategy

London, January 17, 2025 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim marked a significant milestone for Malaysia’s global academic presence by officiating the Malaysia Auditorium at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The 460-seat auditorium, completed in June 2019, was funded by contributions from the Alumni Society of Malaysia.

Following the inauguration, PM Anwar delivered a compelling lecture titled “The Adaptive Edge: Malaysia’s Global Strategy in an Uncertain Era.” His talk highlighted Malaysia’s approach to navigating global challenges through adaptive policies and strategic collaborations.

The event was attended by prominent Malaysian leaders, including Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry; Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Higher Education; and Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities. Representatives from LSE, including President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Larry Kramer, and Datuk Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, President of the LSE Alumni Society of Malaysia, were also present.

The establishment of the Malaysia Auditorium and the lecture underscore the nation’s commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and enhancing its strategic global footprint. PM Anwar’s visit reaffirms Malaysia’s focus on engaging with global institutions to address contemporary challenges.
