Shah Alam – The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) revealed that a popular theme park in the city had received nine notices before a recent accident in which a visitor was struck by a falling water ride tube.

The incident, which raised serious concerns over safety standards at the park, occurred despite multiple warnings from authorities. According to MBSA, the theme park had been issued notices regarding various safety and maintenance lapses, but insufficient action was taken to address them.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the extent of negligence involved. “Safety regulations must be strictly followed to prevent such incidents. We will ensure that the necessary measures are taken to hold the responsible parties accountable,” he stated.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have assured that strict enforcement will be carried out to prevent similar accidents in the future.

MBSA has urged theme parks and entertainment venues to comply with safety guidelines to avoid endangering visitors. Further inspections are expected to be conducted at the park to assess its overall compliance with safety regulations.
