PETALING JAYA, Feb 6 – Malaysia’s first highly automated ammunition factory in Lipis, Pahang, will be fully operational next month, producing 60 million rounds annually.
Pahang’s Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said the factory, operated by Ketech Asia Sdn Bhd, will strengthen Malaysia’s defense industry while creating over 200 jobs.
Several countries, including Brunei, Singapore, Cambodia, and Middle Eastern nations, have already expressed interest in purchasing its ammunition.
This project marks a major milestone for Malaysia’s defense sector, positioning the nation as an ammunition exporter on the global stage.
