KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 – Over 450 AI engineering jobs will be created in Malaysia under a National AI Office (NAIO) and Global AI Village (GAIV) collaboration, said Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.

The NAIO Lab, launched today, will focus on AI-driven solutions in agriculture, healthcare, and transportation. The first project, Rakan Tani, will pilot in Terengganu, offering AI-powered e-marketplaces and farming solutions to rice farmers.

Gobind emphasized that Malaysia aims to become a global AI hub, ensuring local talent leads in AI innovation. The initiative aligns with the country’s push for technological growth and digital transformation.
