YONG PENG, – MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has urged the public to let police investigate an MCA member following a police report lodged by Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) over an allegedly sensitive social media post.
“I do not understand what the report is about, but since it has been filed, let the authorities handle it,” he said at a Chinese New Year celebration in Ayer Hitam.
The post, allegedly inciting racial and religious tension, was reported by AMK Batu vice-division chief Rozan Azen. However, the MCA member claims a translation misunderstanding, as the original Mandarin post carries a different meaning in Malay.
Wee emphasized that everyone must take responsibility for their words.
